With every move comes the challenge of finding new spaces for everything and making a new system that works. I love this part of moving. That said it is often hard to let go of what we had before and it is also exhausting.
Sometimes this remaking of a space takes lots of tries and the system takes a while to set in. But, our godly play space moved brilliantly this time. The boys honestly didn't spend much time with the godly play table in our last home despite trying new locations and setting up stories for them. In our new home I decided to opt for the story table and use a wee set of shelves (that were in our furnished home) for the godly play materials. I think because they can see the materials (before they were often covered by the seasonal cloth) they are much more intrigued by them. Jonah has been building lego mazes and rafts for Jesus and friends and I am grateful to catch moments of this play and see him internalizing the stories. Rowan is continually taking all the figures out and considering how much he is loving the fables we are sharing right now I think he is ready for some more stories.
The shelves neatly organized...
How they look most of the time...
