Harlech Castle

Harlech Castle was a grand adventure. It was big enough, but also not to large to take in at a viewing. It was in ruins, so there was no roped off furniture (I'm very annoyed by roped off furniture - I understand why, but it just feels so wrong); yet, it was in tact enough that you could climb the towers and walk the castle walls. I spent a fair amount of time wondering the castle walls and looking over the welsh country side - seemingly miles in every direction - imagining what it would have been like to be the lady of a castle long ago looking out over my lands for potential danger... I digress, but oh, it was fun!
(can you find me on the wall above?)
