Lauterbrunnen

It was almost eight years ago that Jim and I honeymooned in Lauterbrunnen.  It is an amazing valley in eastern Switzerland and ever since I first heard the cow bells ringing on a mountain hike I have wanted to show my parents this favorite place of mine.  So we spent most of a week there in a cozy apartment in the heart of the valley.  We hiked, rode cable cars, read, ate chocolate, sampled cheeses, watched boys play in water and sand, and generally marveled at the beauty surrounding us.  It was a lovely and a good break after the business of packing.

Enjoying the perusual of your blogs and comments re Switzerland and your activities.. The pictures of my great Grandsons always evoke much conversation here in Palo Alto, California as to the wonderul appearance and obvious gifts of personality and intelligence that each of the them were given..I am certain they must have been derived from my side of the family.!!. Great Grandmother Joan of course begs to differ..Oh well, in summary Joan and I send our love, hope you have a memorable summer and then, lets hustle on back here to the USA . We miss you ..Poppy
