The work and intentionality that goes into play is so amazing. Play is nothing frivolous, but the very work of ordering the world and it is magical to watch.
Thanks for that! Only yesterday I watched a teaching video by Margaret Homfray which emphasized how important it is to respect and not interrupt a child's concentration. Recognizing the play as intentional and deliberate, I hope, makes us more respectful of it.
I emailed this post to a close friend with little ones, and next thing you know she posted your quote as her Facebook status update! I'm not the only one who thinks this was beautifully said! :)
