Most of the elements of the past week have been what we normally do, but having Gammy to do it with made it all an adventure.
:walking
:stretching
:some charity shopping (We had a pirate adventure as we went looking for treasure in charity shops. We mostly looked for books, but found a couple toys, a game and a puzzle along the way.)
:eating (Rowan beet-eater became a character in Gammy's stories as this little man has found that he loves eating and, in particular, eating beets. Rowan has tripled the amount of solids he is taking in the past week, is communicating in new ways, turning book pages, balancing in crawling position for short amounts of time... Jim was amazed when he got home so much has come so fast.)
:exploring (more on our trip to Pittenweem to come)
I really think that children should be able to live close to their grandparents and feel like the boys are really missing out not being close to them. It will never be possible for them to live by both sets though, so we treasure the moments we are together and are grateful for skype and ichat.
