Sunday Afternoon Picnic at the Beach

Neither Jim nor I consider ourselves 'beach people'.  It isn't that we don't enjoy the beach - we do, but we just aren't driven to go there and aren't seeing beachfront property in our future (give me green hills or mountains anyday).  But, right now we live within walking distance of beautiful beaches along the north sea and do want to enjoy them.  Jonah has been asking to go to the beach for the last few weeks.  I think the arrival of the book "Flotsam" by David Weisner (from Gammy and Papa) has intensified this.   So Sunday we planned a picnic on the East Sands after church.  The Gabrielsons spontaneously joined us and we had a lovely (though slightly cold and rather sandy) picnic.
