Overflowing

A friend was over to help out the other morning.  "Where are your trash bags?" she asked.  "Your trash is overflowing."  I laughed and said "My life is overflowing".

It is the feeling that overwhelmed me when, after a two and a half hour labor, I held this little man for the first time; a sense of overflowing gratitude.  Our life and hearts are overflowing with wee boys and our love for them.  Our van is full of car seats (and overflowing with stuff.)  Our shopping cart is always overflowing (as is our budget.)  My mind is overflowing with ideas and celebrations that will never actually come to be, for there are only so many hours in a day. Our home is overflowing with projects and books and laughter and tears and sibling fights and questions and toys and laundry and bits of nature and all the other things life with little ones brings.

It isn't always easy or pretty.  But it is so, so, so good.
 Yes, overflowing indeed!

You've explained it well. I feel it, too. So full and so good.
