My sweet St. Andrews, with narrow streets and stone buildings, was overtaken by a carnival earlier in the week. It was bizarre to see the juxtaposition of bright carnival rides and quaint old buildings. But, it was fun (though very loud) and Jonah loved picking a ride to try and the market did have a few European moments.
(this ride came feet from the wall of the house behind it - crazy!)

We thought exactly the same thing. The kids got to choose one ride, but mostly stood in awe of all the commotion!
