While Daddy was Away

My hat is off to single parents! Four days and three nights and I was exhausted. 7 naps/bedtimes/settlings a day, three meals, a bazillion interruptions and very few moments to myself... my goodness I hadn't realized how much Daddy does in this household now there are two and how important it is to walk away for an hour and know I'm not responsible!

All that said, we had some really fun moments, just me and my little boys. We had our first al fresco dinner of the year on Hallowed hill("it can't be a picnic, because you have to have friends at a picnic" - J). Oh, it is such fun to eat outside and then we snuggled up on the blanket to begin The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton which we had found at the library. Sweet Boys, books, nature, sunshine... life is good!

Rowan loves being outside (though this picture might suggest otherwise) and Jonah chased rabbits over the hill. Hooray for sunshine!
