This house is full of dated wall decor. I believe that I've commented here before about the wild color of the bathroom tile and the rest of the rooms are all papered in shiny, designed, white on white wallpaper. Except, for the kitchen that is, which has these interesting, harvest gold tiles. Matching these colors isn't easy, especially when you don't have access to a fabric store. When we were home over Christmas I picked up this random printed cotton at a remnant shop for a dollar a yard and was surprised to find that it matches quite well.
I think I may whip up some curtains too, but before I commit to that project I will live with this cork board I just inherited and make sure it is a print I want to live with on curtains. I'm feeling very organized with a hanging menu, grocery list, to do list and seeds to remind me of our hope to plant some veggies soon. (note: I'm not claiming that I am organized, but at least I'm feeling organized and that has to be worth something!)
I don't like preparing snacks. I don't mind meals, but I feel like I turn around after a meal and a certain little man is hungry again. I often feel uninspired and wish I had some prepackaged snacks hiding somewhere in a cupboard, but, alas I never do. Anyway, we were talking about rainbows the other day and this snack was inspired - every color of the rainbow (okay, so we didn't have any blueberries and blue foods are hard to come by, so a blue holder for seeds had to suffice). And, he even ate it all, which is really saying something!
