Baby's Milestones: First Playdate

I've thought of waiting on this post till after holy week as there are so many thoughts to share as we go through these days. Today is Teaching Tuesday and we will be learning together about how after Christ entered the city of Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) and cleared the Temple (Money-changer's Monday), he taught the people. We met this morning with the rector about Rowan's Easter Baptism, so my thoughts are quite wrapped up in Holy week preparations right now. But, yesterday morning Rowan had five little friends over for a Mama/Baby tea and these photos are too fun. It was so lovely to see all the 'St. Mary's' babies from Autumn and Winter. These wee ones are all born from the end of August through February.
There are two little clusters here- the three oldest (of which Rowan is the youngest) and the three younger ones. I'm pretty sure each of these groups have birthdays in just over a one month span. The St. Mary's community (The divinity school within St. Andrews is St. Mary's - though post-grad families from other disciplines often become part of the community as well) is known for churning out babies, and there are more to come this year, but for now these are the youngest members of the community.
Big brother offered to take some photos for us too!
He also wanted his picture with Rowan (little brother was ready to be done with photos at this point!)
And for an occasion like this one needs some simple, special treats. The Scottish scones are from Mollie Wizenburg's book "A Handmade life" (her blog is a favorite of mine - here) and they are quick and so yummy - flakey with crystalized ginger in them.
And these are a new favorite appetizer - A small pice of bread, roasted tomatoes, fresh basil and a mini mozzarella ball.

What adorable little ones. How cute all sitting together. I so enjoy your blog and keeping up on what you are all doing. Happy Easter. Tell Rowan and Jonah that Great Aunt Amy sends her love and an Easter Greeting.
